Marinade Recipe from my Mom

For as long as I can remember my mom has been marinating shish kabob, chicken, or beef in the most delicious marinade ever. The recipe’s below. I recently marinaded a tri-tip roast for about 8 hours, grilled it on the Weber, and got excellent reviews. Try it–I’m pretty sure you’re going to love it.

Wine Marinade

1 cup red wine

3 tbsp vinegar

1/3 cup olive oil

1/3 cup soy sauce

2/3 cup barbecue sauce

1 tbsp sugar

1 clove garlic crushed

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon each basic & oregano

The original recipe from Mom…my only adjustment is adding a bit more barbecue sauce which makes it taste exactly like Mom’s. For a split second, I thought she might have intentionally left it out so her’s is always best…but naaaaaaah. She wouldn’t do that…
